Lead Fire Protection Engineer
(Ballston Spa, NY):
The Lead Fire Protection Engineer reports to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for the design and implementation of fire system product lines. This includes but is not limited to water mist systems, clean agent systems, CO2 systems, Aerosol systems, fire alarm control panels, as well as fire alarm and detection devices.

Reviewing customer requirements and applying product configuration

Maintaining proficiency in fire systems design requirements, standards and methods

Applying fire system design methods to develop fire protection products.

Reviewing customer requirements for sales orders.

Creating designs, including 3D models, drawings, manuals, programs, procedures, and bills of materials.

Addressing product quality issues.

Using company document management system.

Creating and submitting customer documentation.

Providing field support as necessary
Minimum Required Competency:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology

Programming experience

Effective Communication Skills

Self-motivated
-
Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team

An equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and experience
